Dessert with a crunch! Mix up your desserts with this treat.

Prep Time: 10 minutes.

Cook Time: 20 minutes.

Makes: 16 cookies.


1 cup raw honey

2 tsp of water if necessary to mix

1 heaping tsp unprocessed salt

4 tsp vanilla

1 cup sesame tahini

2 tsp toasted sesame oil

2 cups sesame seeds

4 tbsp chia seeds, preferably white


Preheat the oven to 350º F. Cover two 9-inch square pans with parchment paper so it comes up the sides like handles for easy removal.

Mix the honey and warm water until sweetener dissolves. Add salt, vanilla, tahini, and sesame oil, and mix to a smooth paste. Add sesame seeds and chia seeds and mix briefly to combine.

Spoon into baking pan and smooth flat. Bake for 20 minutes. Remove from the oven and allow to cool for about 20 – 30 minutes. Remove to a cutting board and cut 16 into squares each.
