WILDFIT Story
George Cheng
WILDFITTER since 2019
The end of the WILDFIT challenge and the start of the next chapter. Let me just say, I could not be more pleased. I came in without any expectations. My clothes were getting tighter, my energy level was trending down, I was getting aches and stiffness in my neck and shoulders, numbness in my fingers, and was, for the first time, on blood pressure medication. As a physician, I’m always looking for better ways to optimize outcomes, but nutritional advice tends not to be our forte. The process was gradual, and the underlying principles made so much sense. I didn’t have to rely on will power. I didn’t go hungry and was surprisingly not irritable. I learned a lot about my psychology and relationship with food and the manipulation by the food marketing industry to maximize demand for high calorie/ low nutrient products. This lesson formed the foundation for an incremental yet powerful experiential approach to behavioral change. I learned a lot about my psychology and relationship with food and the manipulation by the food marketing industry to maximize demand for high calorie/ low nutrient products. This lesson formed the foundation for an incremental yet powerful experiential approach to behavioral change. Eating more consciously, shopping locally sourced produce, and cooking a lot more. Fully hydrating and eating way more greens. Cravings for snack foods gone. Grabbing water and Alkagizer first if hungry. I’ve kicked caffeine, processed foods, and added sugar. Sleep like a rock and wake up promptly at 5:00, then continuously wide awake with high energy, sharp focus and alertness through the entire day (again, no caffeine needed). There is a steady sense of calmness. Shoulder/neck pains and numbness gone. Blood pressure medicine stopped. 15 lbs released. I feel much younger! Many thanks to Eric, Ariel and all the coaches, staff and this Tribe!
